Biography

Nixon Leger Haitian American born in 1977, an award-winning artist is from Belle-Anse, Haiti. In 1998, he studied under the Haitian artist name master Casimir Joseph honing and perfecting his artistic skills.  In 2000, He enter the Enarts school with a full scholarship that enable him to earn a degree in plastic arts.  In 2003, he was teaching art in many schools including The Mission Episcopal of Haiti, in collaboration with College St. Matthias, South east of Haiti. Nixon Leger’s work has been showcased in many art exhibits in Haiti and around the world. Nixon is a leader to the community, he spends quality time contributing with other organizations providing his expertise on fund raising activities. His presence in community support was recognized and award twice by the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) as well as other related Events in Liberia and Haiti. He is a board  member of the Haitian Assembly Artists of Massachusetts (HAAM).  His passion for arts is infinite, he believes his arts is a plus in the visual art world.  He aims endlessly to show that his artwork is a better way to contribute to a better society.

 

Exhibitions: the Massachusetts State House, Boston City Hall, Caribbean Arts Gallery, Massasoit Community College, Rhode Island State House of the Arts, Johnson and Wales (Intercultural Center) Attleboro Arts Museum.  Canada, Musee international d’Art Naif. Nixon currently lives in the US where he continues to promote his art and exhibits nationally and internationally.
